Safeguarding is central to the Church’s ministry and mission and all lay ministers have an important part to play in promoting a safer culture and the welfare of every child, young person and adult.
Every Reader/LLM has compulsory safeguarding training, regularly updated, so that they can respond appropriately if concerns arise, and many other lay people and officeholders are also involved in helping to ensure that children and those at risk are protected from harm.
