This is a very valuable and thoughtful guide to helping in the preaching and the praying of the passages set for Year B. The Bible commentaries are very insightful, enabling us to see new and important truths within the familiar. This is a resource which will be widely used and if you are a preacher, this will save you a lot of work as it often references the original Greek/Hebrew. It also makes connections between the key passages. This is clearly a series of book well worth collecting. It would also be a good guide to share with a home group with materials that will help in Bible study and giving a whole series of foci for prayer. There are some minor points to watch. For example, the index at the back is not quite complete, as one or two passages are missing from the list designed to help you access excerpts. But this is a minor quibble, and the book itself is a most useful seasonal guide.
